JTR Motorsports Engineering is set to close out its 2026 season this weekend at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, with the team preparing for the season finales of both the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America and Porsche Endurance Challenge.

Nick Schaeffer will represent JTR Motorsports Engineering as the team’s lone entry in the Porsche Sprint Challenge, while Schaeffer will team up with Rob Walker for the four-hour Porsche Endurance Challenge race. With both programs reaching their final events of the season, the team and drivers will look to finish the year with strong performances at one of the most challenging circuits on the calendar.

Road Atlanta’s fast, flowing layout with challenging elevation changes will provide a fitting backdrop for the conclusion of both programs. The Endurance Challenge will add another layer of difficulty for Schaeffer and Walker, requiring the duo and the JTR Motorsports Engineering crew to balance pace, consistency, strategy, and reliability throughout the four-hour contest.

“We are excited to get to Road Atlanta and finish the season with both the Sprint Challenge and Endurance Challenge,” said JTR Motorsports Engineering’s Dave Thomas. “Nick has a full weekend ahead of him in the Sprint car, and then he and Rob will have the four-hour Endurance race on Sunday. It is going to be a busy finale, but we have a great group of people behind both programs. We want to put everything we have learned this season into one final weekend and finish the year on a high note.”

With both programs coming down to their final weekend, JTR Motorsports Engineering is ready to take on Road Atlanta one final time in 2026 and close the season with a strong showing across both Porsche programs. The weekend will begin Friday with practice and qualifying, giving Schaeffer the opportunity to fine-tune his Porsche ahead of the Sprint Challenge finale. Saturday will feature the opening Sprint Challenge race, with the second and final Sprint Challenge race taking place Sunday. Sunday will also see Schaeffer and Walker take on the four-hour Porsche Endurance Challenge finale, putting an exclamation point on JTR Motorsports’ 2026 campaign. Fans can follow all of the action from Road Atlanta throughout the weekend, with the races streamed live on the Porsche Motorsport YouTube page.
